PROJECT BRIEF

Concept, design, and development of an innovative office chair with a reassuring design and distinctive ergonomic elements.

The client aimed to create a product with a strong personality, unique in both style and features compared to existing market products.

Ergonomics and design were the two focal points where Sedeo collaborated with the designer to deliver a high-performance product with a comforting design, not overly technical, suitable for both office and home office environments.

Asymmetrical? Of course!

Asymmetry is a common condition, and according to a recent ergonomic study, 7 out of 10 people, given the choice, find their office chair more comfortable with lumbar support positioned asymmetrically.

With Skena, the asymmetric adjustment is both in depth and height, allowing you to configure the backrest truly ideally based on any type of need.

Lumbar support is provided by the tensioned mesh of the backrest, thanks to its tension, without the need for additional rigid elements that, as often occurs with other office chairs, sometimes worsening the seating comfort.

Organic design

Emmanuel Zonta’s interpretation of the office chair creates a reassuring product, embodying the spirit of an organic design inspired by the shapes of nature.

Technical details are minimized and skillfully integrated into the overall design.
